I am a fan of these people and their music for almost 40 years. This is one of the most horribly produced cd’s I’ve ever heard. The sound quality and production is akin to someone getting the approval to market their own recording that was made with a cheap cassette recorder. Whomever mastered this recording did a really, really poor job. The box is nice though. No justice was done to this group.

Like the live Cream package, this too comes across as a MONEY thing…a big business deal. No new album, just play the old tunes for the “old” fans. Yuck! The songs are classic and sound very nice, as they should, because they tour this cabaret act all over the world. Don’t get me wrong, I love this band but I’d feel different if it was to promote new songs, but it’s all just…nostalgia.

I HAVE AN IDEA, LET’S GET LODGE, HAYWARD AND EDGE TO DO A NEW ALBUM WITH MIKE PINDER AND RAY THOMAS, OUT IN GOOD OL’ CALIFORNIA FOR ABOUT A MONTH. THEN, WHILE THEY’RE ALL TOGETHER, TAPE A FEW “REUNION” SHOWS LIKE CREAM DID IN 2005. THEN WE’RE TALKING REAL MOODIES EXCITEMENT.

On a side note, my other favorite “classic” rock band Deep Purple, do have a NEW album “Rapture of the Deep” and it truly delivers! Live in studio recordings from a legendary band on fire. Giving the musical world one of the finest albums of 2005. Bravo DP!

What will sadden me is that the media will promote this recycled memory-madness from Cream and perhaps the Moodies as well, but completely ignore the NEW and innovative Purple CD. Go figure.

Talk about the state of the “art”

The Moody Blues are one of the best bands to grace the charts in —well, forever, but this cd doesn’t showcase that quality. The sound is awful! There are times when the drums jarringly drown out the vocals. I didn’t think it possible for the Moodies to sound like a garage band, but there are moments on this cd when that is the case. Pass on this one and go for Anthology instead. It is a far superior cd.

Great to hear the Moody Blues again. Playing all the hits from through out the years from 1968 up until now. I recomend this to everyone that have ever liked a Moody Blues song. You won’t be dissapointed.

I have other Moody Blues dvd’s and Lovely To See You is the best one ever! I have watched it several times since receiving it 2 weeks ago and will watch it again and again. Thank you for the prompt delivery of this dvd. It was truly a treat when I found it waiting for me when I got home. Please continue to carry The Moody Blues merchandise as I will always want more!
