   Excellent, also works on the 5990. Thanks. This is indeed a fantastic DVD player. I’ve attached a USB Hard disk drive to the USB connection and am playing downloaded DivX videos full screen on a 1080p monitor. Great picture. No need for BlueRay.

    if this unit plas ntsc and pal..will it play both formats on noth tv’s perfectly?

    my tv is from spain..its PAL

    i am travelling back to spain and want to bring a good dvd player to watch my canadian NTSC movies on my europesn PAL hd tv….whats my best option?

    buy one there and do a hack cose to play USA region movies?..if so will it show then top quality on a european PAL tv set? I want top quality also.

    if a dvd player like this one plays both NTSC and PAL, will it work perfect on a european tv or usa tv?

    i ask becuase i have aplace in Spain with a phillips hd tv i bought in Spain.

    i want to have a machine there that will play my dvds from candad at top quality on the pal tv

    do i need a special player as i read you need 50-60hz…so confused! thx for any help!!

    I took the risk and I found out that this DOES indeed work on the 5960 as well.

    Yes this is for sure one of the best 1080p standard dvd upscaling dvd player with Divx support and USB connection. I really recommend it. You can see in another video of me showing the upscaling of the dvd player.
