Super Saver Shipping was very lethargic…just beware, an item listed as available may not actually be shipped for 7 days, with 5-7 days delivery time afterwards. Amazon has now made a good effort to right things with my order. I’ll review it once it’s in use.

Purched this player solely for divx playback. Some of my movies are not being recognized at all, some play audio only and some have sluggish performance and are unwatchable.

It plays most of my movies however but not the ones I like the most.

I have yet to test out the usb functionality or the its region free capability.

I couldn’t find any firmware updates for it so no hope of a software fix here…

This player has a VERY hard time playing any type of files randomly. I like to be surprised so I ALWAYS listen randomly. The instructions inform that some discs will/won’t play depending {on what?}. I tried Cds [I bought & those I made myself], MP3 discs and DivX discs…. none played in random (DivX not at all). The instructions were cryptic but understandable with some study. A year or two ago I bought a Pioneer DV-588A-s (from Amazon), it had all the problems of the above and just up and died. I will not be buying anymore Pioneer products.

I bought this player for the up-converting while watching DVDs on my new TV.

I also had high hopes that the vacation videos I’d recorded on mini DVDs would look better too. This player does fine with commercially recorded DVDs, but constantly, and very annoyingly skips on the minis which were recorded on a Sony.

    Very disappointed.
